As a kid I used to draw a lot and test all kinds of painting techniques. Finger painting, potato painting, you name it. I loved children’s books (I still do), and wanted to become an illustrator “when I grew up” (well, let’s face it, I’m a grown-up now). Then I studied physics and became a researcher. For a few years, my painting gear remained in a cupboard.
Now that I’m back to my brushes, my favorite technique is a combination of watercolors, watercolor pencils and cut paper. I run a little studio called Alpha Angle, and a tiny online shop where you can find greeting cards and posters inspired by academia, originals of the “reading matters” series, and printed organic cotton tote bags.
